The Supporters of Partial Birth Abortion

The act of voting in support of a despicable evil should not be forgotten or swept under the rug.

Let's review: The abortionist delivers the entire baby except for the head. As its little legs kick and its little fists open and close... the abortionist takes shears and cuts a hole in the back of the child's head. He inserts a suction device and sucks out the brains, collapsing the head.

Go to any hospital nursery, look at a newborn, imagine what he looked like the day before, and you see a potential victim of this procedure.

The Senate took a vote on this issue on October 21, 2003, at 05:09 PM. The following monsters voted to keep this practice legal.

Akaka (D-HI), Baucus (D-MT), Bingaman (D-NM), Boxer (D-CA), Cantwell (D-WA), Chafee (R-RI), Clinton (D-NY), Collins (R-ME), Corzine (D-NJ), Dayton (D-MN), Dodd (D-CT), Durbin (D-IL), Feingold (D-WI), Feinstein (D-CA), Graham (D-FL), Harkin (D-IA), Inouye (D-HI), Jeffords (I-VT), Kennedy (D-MA), Kerry (D-MA), Kohl (D-WI), Lautenberg (D-NJ), Levin (D-MI), Lieberman (D-CT), Mikulski (D-MD), Murray (D-WA), Nelson (D-FL), Reed (D-RI), Rockefeller (D-WV), Sarbanes (D-MD), Schumer (D-NY), Snowe (R-ME), Stabenow (D-MI), Wyden (D-OR)

It's a hard thing to dress up infanticide with philosophical arguments... It's an ugly business exchanging your humanity for a few votes and some campaign cash.

In the words (lyrics) of Graham Nash, "Don't the wind blow cold when you're hangin' your soul on the line?"

Not that I'm perfect because I'm not. I'm far from it. But I don't know how these people live with themselves.

Maybe it should be a requirement for any person who wants to vote in favor of partial birth abortion to actually witness this atrocity. Maybe Hillary Clinton should have to see this otherwise healthy perfect fully-formed human being being brutally murdered before she can cast a "yes" vote. It's easy to vote in favor of something you never have to see or think about logically. It's easy to think of the victim as a "fetus" instead of a child. It's easy to believe that you are saving the mother's life and only killing a fetus, but the harsh reality is so different.

You see, I'm no Dr. I don't claim to have any medical training whatsoever, but I have done quite a bit of research on pregnancy and how a baby develops. I am a mom and know what a miracle it is to be able to get pregnant, carry a baby to full term and then bring that child into the world. I know first-hand that not everyone is lucky enough to experience this. Yet so many babies are killed, their lives discarded like a piece of ordinary trash, because society has made it seem harmless. After all, we're not killing babies, we're just saving the mother's life (and more likely just saving her some inconvenience) by ridding her body of some fetus. Right?

And besides, in all the research and reading I have ever done, I have yet to come across any Dr. or medical website or the like that has ever made the case where a full-term baby must be killed in this manner in order to save a woman's life. There is always another option. Until someone can give me any evidence to the contrary, then this is politically sanctioned murder. That's the ugly truth these men and women choose to ignore.

Oh and one more thing (as if my previous post wasn't already long enough!)...

I don't know how any woman who has ever had a child (and that is why I chose Hillary Clinton in my example) could ever claim that this is acceptable and not murder. This has to be a case where the baby is only a baby if you want it to be. Well if I use that kind of logic, then gravity only works when I want it to, the state of Indiana can be the state of Hawaii if I say that's what it is (and boy I wish it was some days), and the pittance in my savings account is really a billion tax-free dollars. Yeah right!

That's an interesting point about voting for something you've never seen. I would imagine that any kind of abortion procedure is the very last thing the abortion industry wants Americans to see.
