Quote for the Day

The American tax payers have spent, and are spending, an incredible amount of money so that the people of New Orleans can continue to live below sea level, rebuild their industry of sin and debauchery, and provide a good living for prostitutes, panderers of all modes of personal degradation, criminals, thieves, and other city officials. I think it would be more appropriate for the Mayor (Nagin) and citizens to simply say "thank you," and then just shut up. --Malott, August 2006

That's right, whatever your name is. The republican party, for the most part, especially the most vocally active part, are a bunch of haters. They would rather devide us and lay blame at the feet of all democrats, somehow making the term liberal an evil thing instead of what it actually means, which is open and willing to let in many ideas.. liberal, the oposite of stingy or cheap.
Conservative = not wanting to part with... not willing to open up ypur mind and see things for what they are, closed off. That is todays republican party. Completely out of touch with any reality except for the christian right out there in no-mans land.
Who else would elect a man like Bush 2 times?
It is baffling and bewildering that people who call themselves Americans can be so closed minded and have so little tolerance for people who don't think as they do.
John Mcain, now there's a real winner! WTF! I used to like the guy. Thought he was a straight shooter and would have voted for him certainly over that wimp John Kerry. The democratic party is lame, no doubt, only because they're trying to compete with the republicans. They should just be smart and do their own thing and all the smart people would follow automatically.
Well, I hope the next president, and let's hope to God in Heavin it's Obama, can repair the damage done by the nitwit in office now and then excell us into a clean, bright future.
