Not my pick... But let's give her a chance!

Nope, Malott, because it's Aaaaaaaaallllllllllll YOUR fault! I just know it is. I betcha McCain was calling you every day at the same time asking your advice. And, like most men, you saw she was good looking and probably said, "Well, John, she IS easy on the eyes. Her and YOUR wife...so...if I'm not looking at her I'm looking at Cindy."

Then, he probably came over and handed you a blindfold to wear whenever you watched him and his wife on TV.... ;-)

Tsofah,

You're right.

As I told John, "John!" I said, "She is an NRA-gun-toting, pro-life, fiscal conservative, girl-next-door-type Babe... You gotta have her on the ticket."

All my fault.

She my kinda woman, not unlike myself in many ways. I'm very happy with the ticket. Like Skye said, I won't have to hold my nose to tight when I enter the voting booth.

I love the part where she shoots the assault rifle!

This is not your ordinary woman.

Chris,

She's a moose hunter! What a woman!

I like it that she can shoot an assault rifle. I think that makes her really conservative and American. I'm going to vote for her because she's a woman who doesn't like abortions and who knows how to handle a military weapon and because, like many Americans who refer to themselves as "conservative" these days, I have the emotional intelligence of a 9-year-old boy with an abusive father. God bless America. God bless Sarah Palin.

Hey Malott! Billy Bob here. Earlier today, me and the little woman were sitting on the front porch staring at the family Ford (currently on blocks in the front yard of our West Kentucky estate)... and I says to her: "Daisy May, we sure are lucky that Malott maintains his blog so that witty, urbane and politically savvy folk like anonymous can teach us backward hayseeds the error of our ways."

Why, I bet anonymous is even one of them college graduates I heard tell of from the big city. My 3rd grade teacher (who, as an interesting side note, was both my mother and my half-sister) used to tell me: "Billy Bob, you ain't gunna amount to nothin'..." (here she'd pause for dramatic effect and spit out a wad of chaw) ... "if you don't get a college degree." Yessir, she told me that all 5 years I had her for the 3rd grade. But seein' as how I dropped out in the 4th grade to take up the family business of possum huntin' (with assault rifles, of course), I'm pretty sure I ain't amounted to squat.

Which brings me back to your blog. I'm glad I can read anonymous' witty and insightful commentary as I drink my moonshine and ruminate on the issues of the day.

Why, I was thinkin' 'bout votin' for that Palin woman. I mean, I don't think it's right to be killin' no babies... no matter what stage of development... and I sure don't see that Obama guy saying anything of substance... he just talks pretty.

But, as it turns out, apparently I'm just another ignorant conservative... not one of them enlightened liberals like anonymous. Heck, I now know that I have the emotional intelligence of a 9 year old. Malott, I didn't even know my emotions had intelligence! There's just one thing: how did that anonymous fellar know about my daddy?
