Holocaust - Shoah

We've heard all week about the Iranian Holocaust Conference. Maybe those attending haven't seen these images.

It seems the more things change - the more they stay the same. The Nazis are back. They look different, and speak in a different language... But they still hate and are telling the same lies. And they are using propaganda in the very same way.

I guarantee you that there are weak-minded, pathetic souls throughout the world - and even in this country - who are beginning to question the holocaust. They are being suckered-in by these history revisionists.

But then... What to do with these images?

The nazis kept detailed records which included filming their evil. FDR insisted pictures be taken of every thing our troops discovered in the camps we liberated.

Either America was in on the lie or he knew this was going to happen.

Never again. . .

JT,

I have to wonder just how "in the dark" Roosevelt actually was while the holocaust was taking place.

Thank as always for your comments.

Janice,

I'll check it out.

Chris,

Your post reminded me that I never finished a draft post I started after my trip to Poland. It's about our visit to Stutthof, the last concentration camp that was liberated in WWII. From my visit there, and to Treblinka and Auschwitz in '97, I can say that nobody would have known what was going on in Stutthof or Treblinka, if they even knew the places existed. They were so well hidden by dense forests.

Auschwitz was a former military barracks and was officially a prison camp under the Nazis, so people would have known about the prisoners, but not necessarily the extermination.

Really, how much do we know about North Korea? Stories, rumors, reports, but we do nothing to help. How is Bush any better or worse than FDR?

Clinton was no different than FDR when genocide was going on in Rwanda. They will just do what domestic politics demand.

Skyepuppy,

Thanks for the info. There certainly were no satellites spying on the Germans.

Anonymous,

Concerning all the murders on the continent of Africa in the last 20 years - I wonder what this country's response would have been if the victims had all been lilly-white?
