Do you think they should just carpet bomb? I've wondered if making an "example" of Lebanon or perhaps Gaza wouldn't be the smarter way to go. There would be an unbelievable howl from the rest of the world, but Israel might be more secure in the long run.; 8/09/2006 1:05 PM

Yes, I believe Israel should "carpet bomb" Lebanon (though I prefer Gaza). I think photon torpedoes would be more effective. The phasers are so localized that it would take the Enterprise way too long to make a dent in Hezbollah (who probably has the Romulans supplying them with cloaking devices as we speak).
