Jimmy Takes Us to School

I don't think that Israel has any legal or moral justification for their massive bombing of the entire nation of Lebanon. What happened is that Israel is holding almost 10,000 prisoners, (terrorists, as we say in Greentown) so when the militants in Lebanon or in Gaza take one or two soldiers, (and the rockets fired at Israel?) Israel looks upon this as a justification for an attack on the civilian population of Lebanon and Gaza. I do not think that's justified, no.

Thanks, Jimmy. Yes, President Jimmy Carter knows a great deal about how to deal with terrorists and dictators.

When Jimmy was president he undermined the Shah of Iran, with concern for human rights, and facilitated Khomeini's rise to power... which certainly has worked wonders for Iranian human rights and American interests.

Then he did a bang-up job securing the release of 400 Americans taken hostage by those human rights-loving Iranians.

President Carter has also distinguished himself by propping up and justifying such human rights icons as Yasser Arafat and Fidel Castro.

I won't even bother to mention the double digit inflation, unemployment, and interest rates, that accompanied his banner four years as president. I've already patted this guy on the back way too much.

Suffice it to say, when Jimmy Carter speaks, America would be wise to listen... And then do the opposite of whatever he says.

I love the part where he says Israel massively bombed "the entire nation of Lebanon." Does he actually believe all the Hezbologna coming out of the MSM?

Apparently so. But the entire nation was not bombed. Much of the south of Lebanon was bombed, because that's where Hezbollah was dug in.

Jimmy Carter has been the epitome of Europeasement from the day he took office. Taking foreign-policy advice from him is like taking investment advice from a guy who loses his shirt every time he invests.
