McCain Postmortem
WASHINGTON (AP) - John McCain jettisoned two top aides Tuesday, the one-time Republican front-runner struggling to right a presidential bid in deep financial and political trouble.
Lackluster fundraising and a high rate of spending left McCain's campaign with just $2 million on hand six months into the year, forcing him to lay off dozens of campaign aides last week across all areas of the organization.
McCain's own embrace of politically disastrous positions also contributed to his woes.
Really?
You mean there was a price to be paid for being the nation's lead RINO?
I suppose if John was reading his press clippings - those produced by the liberal media - I'm sure he thought himself the heir apparent to the White House. But like so many, John is learning that he has to answer to the people who vote... Not his sycophants in the press.
Goodbye John... And rest in peace.

McCain has this fanciful notion that the press, which is with him now, will continue to be with him for the general election (provided he were to get the nomination). But they'd turn on him like a rabid dog the minute a Democrat became his opponent. Dems stick together when it counts, and McCain just doesn't count, unless it's for backstabbing the President.
"...unless it's for backstabbing the President."
Well put.
McCain has been stabbing us all in the back, and when he runs out of money and drops out of the race... he'll be even worse... mad... and vindictive... and nasty...
Sigh - it could have been so good, and so different, and so - well, hopeful!
So, I wanna know, where is Fred Thompson?
I ask that on one of my blogs, but, I don't think he's reading it.
I need a President to vote for! Someone? Anyone? Please?
