I believe I have stolen some of Christina's thunder.

And I relish it.

What a cutie!

Thank you, Chris, for posting the first pictures of this beautiful boy!

Have they given him a name yet?

Malott said...

Janice,

yes, they have given him a name... But I already feel a little guilty about posting pictures before C has had the chance to post her announcement...

Let's just call him... Gunther... For now.

Have you ever seen a cuter kid?!

Janice,

He looks amazingly like Andrew when he was first born. And Andrew has always been a good-looking kid.

My sister Lisa took pictures to Church today and was showing everyone. Our family is very proud and excited.

Oh my, Chris, he's one beautiful baby!

All of you should be very proud, he's an adorable little guy.

I don't think "C" will be very upset. You're just keeping us blogging buddies in the loop. We were all very concerned for Gunther and Christina.

Please pass along my well wishes.

By the way, what were Gunther's vitals, you know; weight, length, date and time of birth.

I like the name Teapot better than Gunther...

Janice,

I think he was 8 or 9 pounds or something. We don't know how tall he is because he hasn't stood up yet.

Skyepuppy,

My fear is that the nickname Teapot may follow him and haunt his teenage years.

Chris,

Every teenager needs to be haunted by something...

Awww, what a great uncle you are!

Well, except for referring to your nephew as "Gunther" (ugh!) And, remember, these guys DO grow up and will once day be able to beat you up for calling him names such as "Gunther" and "Teapot".

Maybe THAT's why teenagers go through rebellion...a subconcious need to get even for the awlful names we put them through!

(It's a good thing I dropped the name "Peanut" when mine was born and dropped the name "Tinker Toy" when he turned 2 and stuck with "Fantastic Kid" through the toddler/preschool/to first grade days.) By then he had grown from his birth weight of 3 lbs 11 oz and the other names just didn't fit any more. ;-)

Hey Chris? HUGS! Congrats on being a new uncle again!
