Chabad Synagogue in Miami Torched

Unknown individuals set fire to a Chabad synagogue in Miami Beach, Florida on Tuesday, burning the Torah books inside.

Ze'ev Katz, the synagogue's head rabbi, recounted the event on one of Chabad's internet websites, saying that a number of individuals broke into the empty synagogue, took the Torah books from the cabinet, tore them to pieces, and set them on fire.

The rabbis also said that the majority of anti-Semitic activity that takes place in the US is perpetrated by the Muslim community.

Riots and burning cars to follow?

Chris:

If burning cars and riots are soon to follow, it seems prudent to stock fire extinguishers and water hoses. I'd like to think our police would not act as they did in Europe and would actually PUT DOWN riots. Wonder if I need to start looking into riot insurance for my car?

Janice:

You gotta PROVE it was Muslims in the first place. If no one saw and there are no video tapes, then...there may never be proof.

It's a sad day when synagogues and churches have to have video tape security.

I wonder, if it were an Islamic Mosque that was vandalized, if the police wouldn't already have captured who did it? (Sorry, just a bit jaded on the pro-islam discriminiation in our justice system right now).

Tsofah,

Don't apologize for being jaded. Jade is a beautiful stone. ;o)
