Ben Stein's "Expelled"

"Expelled" calls attention to the plight of highly credentialed scholars who have been forced out of prestigious academic positions because they proposed Intelligent Design as a possible alternative to Charles Darwin's 150-year-old theories about the origins of life.

Instead of entertaining a debate on the merits of competing theories, the scientific establishment has moved to suppress the ID movement in a "systematic and ruthless" way at odds with America's founding principles, the film asserts.Liberals have been going ape about "Expelled" for months as it has been screened around the country.

Liberals have been going ape about "Expelled" for months as it has been screened around the country.

If we are seeing this meltdown on the left even before "Expelled" officially opens, expect a Big Bang on April 18.

You've got to love this.
Sorry PAW.

PAW,

I obviously posted without linking my sorce. Sorry.

So you doubt the left-wing blogosphere is likely to go ape over such a movie?

Dr Michael Easley of the Moody Bible Institute told a story a while back on his radio program about a friend of his who left college with degrees in both biomedical engineering and medicine... And a 4.0 GPA in both. This man told Dr Easley that in the med school, most were evolutionary, Darwinian, origin of the species thinkers... But in biomedical engineering many were believers in Christ, and almost all were intelligent design proponents.

I'm no expert in I.D. or in the theories of irreducible complexity... But I do believe that some very smart people are at odds with evolution and biopoietic theories... And that there is a great deal of prejudice in science - which is very unscientific. Isn't it scientific to use math and reason to prove a bad theory wrong?

Your thoughts?
