Is Winter Coming for the Democrats?

I'm praying for a cold September and a very cold October. One month or two before the November elections it would be good for Americans to form a connection in their minds between the Democrats' stubborn refusal to expand domestic oil and natural gas drilling - and the hefty price involved in heating their homes.

That would be very good.

The Democrats and their environmentalist friends can presently hide behind words of pipe dream windmills and alternative fuels... Buoyed by the support of their accomplices in the mainstream media... But winter is coming.

The American people are foolish, lazy, and ignorant... But they understand heating bills. They understand being cold.

Winter is coming.

Are you kidding? The Republican's will be blamed because they blocked the release of oil from the reserves. No matter it was to try to force the discussion of off-shore drilling, which the Democrats will not even consider.

Ah, Malott, the only ones who suffer in this game of "ping pong" are the people like you and I. Let the Reps and Senators live with one of US this fall and feel the cold - THEN they will get the message.

America was a great idea. I have a sentimental place in my heart for what it once was, and might still have been.

I watch my 87-year-old WWII Veteran father shake his head and say, "We've lost our country."

I figure he should know.
