A RINO In Full

Looks as if I have one less errand to run on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008.
1) Principled Conservatives will stay home rather than destroy the Conservative Movement by making - a liberal - the leader of the Republican Party.
2) If the country is going to be severely damaged by a liberal president... Conservatives will prefer that the liberal president has a "D" after his (or her) name.
3) Last night the Right to Life movement was set back at least one generation... Probably two.
4) America's borders and sovereignty... Probably lost forever. Yo creo que sie!
5) Last night "gay marriage" became a certainty.

Thanks, Florida. And thanks to all the naive simpletons that got behind a rube named Hucklebee.

Is Huckleberry the Ralph Nader of the "right"? Stop crying about it!

Mojo,

The Republicans picked a loser last night. That means that Liberals like yourself have won.

You should be more graceous, buddy!

Gracious? Doesn't that cut both ways? Your guy lost last night, and you whine about it. How is that being gracious, "buddy"?

And if polls are anywhere near correct, either Hillary OR Barack would win over any of the current GOP candidates, so apparently, all your candidates are losers.

I'm disappointed in McCain's win as well. However, Romney STILL has a lot of delegates, and at least in my state, he's polling high. Remember that "super Tuesday" has a lot of states that are "winner take all states". If Romney wins just a couple of those, it can still keep him in this race. This is why the current thought is the nomination can come right down to the actual convention.

Hang in there...

John McCain, a liberal only in the eyes of jerks like you.

Sorry, a moment of blunt honesty.

Jacob,

Jerk? You cut me.

McCain has aligned himself with liberals. Show me John's friends, and I'll devine his sympathies.

Thanks for your comments.

"We care deeply about traditional values and protecting families. And we need someone who will not waver in the White House: Ending abortion, preserving the sanctity of marriage, stopping the trash on the airwaves and attempts to ban God from every corner of society. These issues are core to our being."

- John McCain.

That could have come straight from the mouth of Pat Robertson or, hey, even Osama Bin Laden.

I decided to do some research on Romney and his conservative actions as governor, and here are just a few of the points I found -- in less than five minutes.

On Abortion:
Romney supported legalization of the "morning-after" abortion pill, RU-486. As recently as his 2002 run for governor his platform stated, "The choice to have an abortion is a deeply personal one. Women should be free to choose based on their own beliefs, not the government's."

On Homosexuals:
- In a letter to the Log Cabin Republicans, Romney hailed Bill Clinton's "don't ask, don't tell" policy as a "step in the right direction" and "the first of a number of steps" toward homosexuals serving "openly" in the military.
- "Romney's campaign distributed pro-gay rights campaign literature during Boston's ‘Gay Pride' events," issuing pink fliers stating, "Mitt and Kerry [running mate Kerry Healey] wish you a great Pride weekend! All citizens deserve equal rights, regardless of their sexual preference."
- Romney advocated governmental recognition of homosexual adoption rights, domestic partnerships and homosexual civil unions.
- Romney opposed the Boy Scouts' policy prohibiting homosexuals from serving as scoutmasters and prevented the organization from participating publicly in the 2002 Olympics.
- Romney promoted homosexual propaganda in Massachusetts schools through the "Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth," funding this bureaucracy of social engineering instead of eliminating it.

Universal Healthcare:
On April 12, 2006, Romney signed a bill into law that creates a universal health system, mandating that every Massachusetts resident must obtain health insurance or face a fine that could exceed $1200/year.

Mojo,

There's a BIG difference between the Democrats' proposal for single-payer (government) health insurance and Romney's plan of requiring private insurance coverage (of the insured's choice--pro-choice, right?) for everyone in the state.

I don't have enough context on the gay/Boy Scouts stuff to comment.

Have a nice day!

Gosh, I didn't realise Romney was such a fag-enabler!
