Barack Explains It All

In what has been called the greatest speech ever delivered on the subject of race (forgive them MLK for they know not what they do) Barack Obama forever tarred his white grandma when he described her as:
"a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe."

This woman - by the way - is still around to hear these comments. Nice.

Anyway, Barack was asked about the comment and he answered by saying:
"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. But she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know. . .there's a reaction in her that doesn't go away and it comes out in the wrong way."

"Typical white person." Does that not sound exactly like something Obama's preacher, Jeremiah Wright, would say?

We need to keep this guy talking!

I heard Dennis Prager quoting the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who said that when he's walking down the street and he hears someone coming up behind him, he's relieved to see that it's a white guy.

Jesse Jackson. Just your Typical White Person.

Skye,
I'm not sure what the point of your comment was. Is it that black people who know black people are still afraid of black people, and that shows that black people are rightly feared?

Mojo,

My point is that Obama implied that his white grandmother's fear of black men makes her racist. The incident he used to "prove" his point is one that is more universal than just a Typical White Person's reaction, or Jesse Jackson wouldn't have the same reaction.

I don't remember where I read it, but somebody or other said that he'd read about that incident before, and Obama's grandmother avoided a particular black man, not all of them.

Obama is being unfair to his grandmother. And white people with this insinuation.

I've been sharing about Obama, too. Now his friends are talking about how Obama's hiding what he really thinks until he gets elected. Kinda scarey.

Well, then again, that's just like a "Typical Candidate Person" acts, isn't it?

He, however, isn't typical in his stances.
