Thompson and Moore
Michael Moore writes to Senator Fred Thompson:
Given that it has been publicly reported in The Weekly Standard, a leading neo-conservative publication, that you support Fidel Castro and the Cuban regime by being a purveyor of fine Cuban exports despite the trade embargo, I was surprised to see your recent op ed in a more traditional conservative outlet, The National Review, regarding my trip to Cuba.
While I will leave it up to the conservatives to debate your hypocrisy and the Treasury Department to determine whether the “box upon box of cigars” violates the trade embargo, I hereby challenge you to a health care debate.
What Moore is referring to is when Thompson wrote:
“It always leaves me shaking my head when I read about some big-time actor or director going to Cuba and gushing all over Castro.”
Thompson's response is below...

I Like Mike
Congressman Mike Pence (R-Indiana) has been a stalwart supporter of the American-Israel alliance. He recently introduced an amendment to the foreign aid bill that would prohibit groups that deny Israel's right to exist from receiving American (taxpayer dollar) foreign aid. The amendment passed 390-30.
Of the 30 members of Congress who have no problem with giving money to groups that advocate and plan for the destruction of Israel, 27 of them were Democrats.

And would that be Indy's Julia Carson that voted for Israel being driven into the sea? And our first Muslim Congressman (Ellison) is a Jew hater? Go figure.

The "Big Ears" Problem Resolved
The problem...
The fix...
The final result...
Is there anything duct tape can't do? Surgical procedures are expensive... And until I can afford my ear-reduction - or compromise and submit to "cropping" by a veterinarian - this will have to do.
I think it looks great... Except from the sides.

A bad immigration bill died this morning.
Senator AbdulaDick Lugar - shown above with a group of his former gay lovers - was unable, even with the help of his fellow arrogant senators, to thwart the will of the American people.
*****
The following odd combination of Repubs and Dems (many of whom are running for re-election next year...) listened to the 80 % of the American people who were against this amnesty bill, and voted against it. Thanks guys.

Global Poll Shows Distrust of USA
PARIS: Distrust of the United States has intensified across the world, but overall views of America remain very or somewhat favorable among majorities in 25 of 47 countries surveyed in a major international opinion poll, the Pew Research Center reported Wednesday.
Big woop.
"Anti-Americanism since 2002 has deepened, but it hasn't really widened," said Andrew Kohut, director of the Pew Global Attitudes Project. "It has worsened among America's European allies and is very, very bad in the Muslim world. But there is still a favorable view of the United States in many African countries, as well as in 'New Europe' and the Far East."
Our "friends" in Europe that have surrendered their cultures to Islamic Immigrants - are no doubt amazed and put-off by our lack of sophistication and downright backwardness. But since they will soon be immigrating here, donning burqas, or being beheaded... I'm not sure concern for their opinions is a timely use of our energies.
Our cultural melt-down is in progress, too... But at least we'll have guns when the time comes to take back our country from the politicians - and the unassimilated trespassers and their liberal and tribal representatives.

Former Marine, Age 72 - Beats the Crap Out of a 27 Year-Old Pickpocket
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Bill Barnes says he was scratching off a losing $2 lottery ticket inside a gas station when he felt a hand slip into his front-left pants pocket, where he had $300 in cash.
He immediately grabbed the person's wrist with his left hand and started throwing punches with his right, landing six or seven blows before a store manager intervened.
"I guess he thought I was an easy mark," Barnes, 72, told The Grand Rapids Press for a story Tuesday.
He's anything but an easy mark: Barnes served in the Marines, was an accomplished Golden Gloves boxer and retired after 20 years as an iron worker.

I love this old soldier. 72 years old and he dismantles a punk thief. God bless him.

Arrogant Senate Republicans Self-Destruct
The amnesty bill passed the "cloture test" because of the "yea" votes offered by those listed below. They know that no matter how angry we get... We'll all come crawling back come election day!
Think so? I think this vote may well portend the coming irrelevance of the Republican Party.

What's Wrong With Our Dick?
Senator Dick Lugar of Indiana - shown above with his favorite toy -has come out against fulfilling our promises in Iraq. Yes, our "RINO" Dick (Republican in name only) has offered our Radical Islamic enemies another bit of encouragement on which to cling.
Sen. Richard Lugar, a senior Republican and a reliable vote for President Bush on the war, said that Bush's Iraq strategy was not working and that the U.S. should downsize the military's role.
The unusually blunt assessment Monday deals a political blow to Bush, who has relied heavily on GOP support to stave off anti-war legislation. Most Republicans have said they were willing to wait until September to see if Bush's recently ordered troop buildup in Iraq was working.
But not our Dick - shown above with a Laotian prostitute. Having just won another six years in the Senate, and being old as dirt, Senator Lugar isn't worried about what his chances are next time around. He certainly isn't interested in what his constituents think.
He is "Amnesty Dick," "RINO Dick," almost "Gay Marriage Dick," (given the chance) ...He's a real "Dick for All Seasons."
With this last betrayal of Conservative principles - the one about protecting America... The entire staff at Malott's Blog has decided to start referring to our senator as "Mohamedick."
Oh sure... There was "Cut and Run Richard." We liked "Bagdad-Dick"... But it was too hard to say. Some liked "al Jazeeradick"... Catchy and appropriate. "Fallugahr" was simply too obscure and complicated.
If our massive audience has a better suggestion, we are - as you know - all ears.
Update: Janice has suggested "Abduladick." The entire staff at Malott's Blog humbly bows in recognition to this bit of brilliance. Thanks Janice. "Abduladick" it is.

Obama Insults Religious Right
All I Can Stands, of The Logic Lifeline, has a great post about Barack Obama and his suggesting that the Religious Right has hijacked the Christian Faith... Yes, sort of the same way we talk about Radical Islam hijacking the Muslim Faith.
Great reading from one of my favorite blogs!

In Nevada...
A statewide poll of presidential preferences conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. that was made available to the Review-Journal on Saturday shows hypothetical candidate Fred Thompson leading a tight Republican field.
The television star and former Tennessee senator had the support of 25 percent of the 400 likely Republican caucus goers in the poll, conducted Wednesday through Friday. He was followed by Mitt Romney, with 20 percent, and Rudy Giuliani, with 17 percent.
John McCain slid down to single digits in the poll, with just 8 percent. The poll carries a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percentage points.
On the Democratic side, (Does anyone care?) Hillary Clinton continued to dominate, as she has in every early Nevada poll. The New York senator and former first lady had 39 percent of the 400 likely Democratic caucus goers surveyed, followed by Barack Obama with 17 percent and John Edwards with 12 percent.
Of course, this state has repeatedly elected Harry Reid... Enough said.
I like Thompson. His ability to communicate must scare the Dems half to death. But when the mud starts flying... And it will - from both Parties... We'll see what the man is really made of.

Maybe Bush IS the Worst President Ever
Or Could Be Any Day Now...
At a time in our country's history when enemies are training to come here and blow us up... At a time when the U.S. military could rightly and legitimately be on the border shooting at anyone trying to trespass illegally... At a time when it would only take one sick religious extremist to kill thousands...
This president is fighting tooth and nail to make the border problem a bigger problem.
COLUMBUS, N.M. - On Sept. 5, a man calling himself Miguel Alfonso Salinas was apprehended off a deserted highway near the U.S.-Mexico border.
It would take nearly a week of interviews with federal agents before Alfonso Salinas would give his real name: Ayman Sulmane Kamal, a Muslim born in Egypt - a country designated as "special-interest" by the United States for sponsoring terrorism.
Jimmy Carter is the worst president of my lifetime... As of today...

Fixing Talk Radio
Appearing on John Ziegler's evening show on KFI 640 AM in LA, U.S. Senator James Inhofe says he overheard Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) and Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) saying they want a "legislative fix" for talk radio.
As far as I can tell, Clinton and Boxer are not concerned with the Left-Wing bias of newspapers and network television and radio news. They just want to limit some kinds of speech.
Trent Lott, the guy that conservative talk radio defended (and rightly so) after his gaffed comments at the Strom Thurmond Party, has made similar statements.
The Senate Leadership in all their arrogant glory - both Republican and Democrat - can't stand the fact that the American public disapproves overwhelmingly of the Amnesty Bill. They wish we would go back to watching American Idol and let them run the country.
WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, who has been under intense pressure from the White House and Republican leadership to support a sweeping immigration overhaul, nevertheless announced today that she will vote against reviving the legislation when it returns to the Senate floor next week.
I think we need to fix Congress... Not talk radio. Let's keep Inhofe, Hutchison, and a few others... Throw out the rest, and elect guys that want to go to Washington and represent... Us.

Hillary Booed
Sen. Hillary Clinton was booed again this morning at the Take Back America conference, sponsored by the lefty activist group Campaign for America's Future here in Washington.
"We're going to end the war in Iraq and finally bring home the troops," she said as a number of Code Pink protesters stood up in the audience. When she declared, "The American military has done its job," boos began to be heard around the room. As the boos increased, Sen. Clinton raised her voice. "The American military has succeeded," she said, to more boos. "It is the Iraqi government that has failed to make the tough decisions." Still more boos.
Obviously these Democrat supporters hate the military. They are allowed to rant and demonstrate and boo because young Americans have fought and died to preserve their freedom to do so.
How small of them. How small of Hillary Clinton to let the moment pass without expressing outrage.

Coming to a Theater Near You
Or Perhaps a School or Crowded Restaurant...
ABC NEWS- Large teams of newly trained suicide bombers are being sent to the United States and Europe, according to evidence contained on a new videotape obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com.
Teams assigned to carry out attacks in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Germany were introduced at an al Qaeda/Taliban training camp graduation ceremony held June 9.
The tape shows Taliban military commander Mansoor Dadullah, whose brother was killed by the U.S. last month, introducing and congratulating each team as they stood.
"These Americans, Canadians, British and Germans come here to Afghanistan from faraway places," Dadullah says on the tape. "Why shouldn't we go after them?"
Perhaps the moderate Muslims in Dadullah's neighborhood will take him aside and calmly ask him to be nice. Then we should be ok.
When the suicide bombers come to this country we can be confident that the Left will blame President Bush. And in a twisted way... They will be right to do so.
As we gingerly tip-toe along, fighting a politically correct war - a war that will determine what this country will be at by the end of this century - President Bush remains clueless about both border security and the phantom "Moderate Wing of Islam" that is supposedly hanging out - silently- somewhere in America.
Still, maybe if suicide bombers begin attacking us here... Maybe the government and the Left Wingers that run the media... Maybe even all those poor ignorant souls who vacantly stare each night into their televisions... Maybe they will all wake up and recognize the challenge we face.
Maybe not.
Satanic Over-Reaction
Sir Salman Rushdie celebrates his 60th birthday today in familiar circumstances: he is once again the subject of death threats across the Islamic world.
Eighteen years after the Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa calling on Muslims to kill him, a government minister in Pakistan said yesterday that Rushdie’s recent knighthood justified suicide bombing.
The question of blasphemy in The Satanic Verses, Rushdie’s 1988 tale of a prophet misled by the devil, remains a deeply sensitive issue in much of the Muslim world and the author’s inclusion in the Queen’s Birthday Honours last week has inflamed anti-British sentiment.
Let's all take a moment and bask in the thoughtful and staid pronouncements flowing from the Religion of Peace. In the tradition of rioting over comic strips, the Muslim World now says that the knighting of The Satanic Verses' author - justifies suicide bombing.
In my humble opinion, the utterly Satanic threat of suicide bombing - justifies carpet bombing.

Our Tax Dollars at Work
These peaceful people from the religion of peace appear to be acting totally out of character... Like a bunch of crazed animals - as they run around killing each other. I'm not sure how this is Israel's fault, but the Jew-Haters in the United Nations and in Europe will no doubt be able to explain it.
Maybe the Palestinians who really hate the Jews need to kill-off all the Palestinians who just sort of hate the Jews before the former can fully concentrate on killing Jews.
I'm just hoping the U.S. foreign aid money is still finding its way to the Palestinians. These people obviously make good use of our hard-earned dollars.
I'm beginning to think the problem in the Middle East is not the Israeli Occupation of Palestine.
At least 14 people were killed in fighting Monday, raising the death toll of Palestinians killed in internal strife to 630 since Hamas came to power. The violence, which has included a shootout in a hospital, foes dropping to their deaths from high-rise buildings and the execution-style slaying of a Fatah field commander outside his home, has been described by Gazans as more brutal than in the past.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Pace to Step Down
Secretary of Defense Gates is currently announcing that he will not be re-nominating General Pace to head the Joint Chiefs.
The reason?
Malott's Blog believes that this was decided because - the confirmation process would involve an ugliness that this outstanding General should not have to endure.
Yes, all those brave leaders in Congress won't get to pick apart this oustanding soldier and public servant.
Good luck, General Pace... And thanks for your service to our country.
Secretary of Defense Gates is currently announcing that he will not be re-nominating General Pace to head the Joint Chiefs.
The reason?
Malott's Blog believes that this was decided because - the confirmation process would involve an ugliness that this outstanding General should not have to endure.

The Muslim Isle
Great Britain ---Mohammed could soon become the most popular boy’s name in the country, as more and more Muslim parents choose to name their sons after the Islamic Prophet.
When all the different spellings of the name are added up, the name was second only to Jack in last year’s registration of boys’ births.
Demographic experts say high fertility rates among Muslims compared to the British population as a whole are driving the increase.
Rule Britania!
Britania rule the waves!
As uncontrolled Muslim immigration
Makes you slaves.

Do They Finally Hear Us?
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate divisions that derailed a White House-backed immigration bill - for now, at least - mirror the U.S. society's deep differences over the issue, according to polling data, lawmakers and analysts. Those gaps will challenge any effort to get the measure back on track.
Good.
Close our porous borders with a fence and punish those who try to cross - start deporting those here illegally, and use the money saved on social programs and education to employ more INS and border agents.... Enforce our laws. Then talk to me about resolving the "illegals" problem through legislation.
The only thing that makes this an impossible problem to solve... Is the government's lack of will to solve it.

Vermont to Secede
MONTPELIER, Vt. --At Riverwalk Records, the all-vinyl record store just down the street from the state Capitol, the black "US Out of Vt.!" T-shirts are among the hottest sellers.
But to some people in Vermont, the idea is bigger than a $20 novelty. They want Vermont to secede from the United States -- peacefully, of course.
Disillusioned by what they call an empire about to fall, a small cadre of writers and academics is plotting political strategy and planting the seeds of separatism.
They've published a "Green Mountain Manifesto" subtitled "Why and How Tiny Vermont Might Help Save America From Itself by Seceding from the Union." They hope to put the question before citizens at Town Meeting Day next March, eventually persuading the state Legislature to declare independence, returning Vermont to the status it held from 1777 to 1791.
The entire staff at Malott's Blog is in favor of this proposal. While it may be devastating to lose representatives of the stature of Sen. Patrick Leahy, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and Rep, Peter Welch... We believe the U.S.A. just might survive without this ultra-liberal state.
So we say, "Goodbye Vermont"... "Good luck"... "And don't let the door hit your butt on the way out."

Global Clinging
Many of those on the Left are using supposed "Man-Made Global Warming" as a political tool... But I believe there are many who are sincere and without ulterior motives. For them I offer this:
1) God made the earth and its environment adequate for His purposes. (Why wouldn't He?)
2) When the Earth is destroyed (and it will be) it will be by His hand... Not ours.
3) But either way... If you believe the hope and future for mankind is the Planet Earth, you are going to be very disappointed.
Have a nice, worry-free day. I intend to.

Immigrant from Lebanon Drags Woman to Her Death
Detectives say Hall fell off the minivan's hood and got caught in the undercarriage, Sheriff Ken Jenne said at a news conference Monday morning. The driver then dragged her for about two miles, reaching speeds up to 70 mph in the process and weaving between lanes in an attempt to shake her off. He finally left Hall dead in the 1600 block of State Road 7 in North Lauderdale.
Family of Sandra Hall released this photo 44-year-old mother of two, who was dragged to death on Sunday.FORT LAUDERDALE -- The last thing Michael Williams says he heard his wife Sandra Hall say to a hit-and-run driver ( as she dangled from the hood of a minivan that had struck the couple's car was, "You ain't going nowhere."
Broward Sheriff Ken Jenne announced Monday afternoon the arrest of a man at New York's John F. Kennedy airport in the dragging death of Sandra Hall, 44, of Fort Lauderdale.
Sheriff Jenne identified the suspect as Abdelaziz Hamze, 24, of Coral Springs, during a press conference.
The suspect was pulled from an Athens-bound flight at JFK airport, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Monday afternoon, by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It is believed Hamze, who is a U.S. citizen, purchased his ticket to Greece following the murder. Athens is a common connecting point for flights to Lebanon, where Hamze is originally from.

Now It Makes Sense
Conservative Republicans have been asking themselves, "Why would President Bush endeavor to flush away our culture, ruin our economy, and make a big problem worse... By supporting amnesty legislation for illegal tresspassers? Why would he choose to totally tick-off the few supporters he has left... Those loyal Conservatives who have stuck up for him and supported him?

Well Malott's Blog has uncovered documents from the Treasury Department that provide a clue.
It appears that Bush has given up on becoming the "Education President" and has decided to be the "Illegals President." And, his efforts will be rewarded with a special new paper currency bearing his picture.
The Bush Peso Note will be worth nothing, and is expected to be widely unpopular... Just like President Bush.

Malott Causes Firings
Listening, faithfully as always... Malott's blog has learned from the Peter Heck Show, Indiana's fastest growing radio talk show, that the Republican National Committee has fired all 65 of its telephone solicitors. Why? Because of an estimated 40 percent falloff in small-donor contributions.
The entire staff at Malott's blog is basking in its power. (see "My Call From The Republican National Committee" below)
Maybe the Republican National Committee should consider the remote possibility that those who support the Republican Party are totally ticked-off over the President's support of the amnesty bill. Maybe they should consider that we sent them to Washington to represent our values and wishes.
