The End Justifies the Deceit

The U.S. Census is supposed to be free of politics, but one group with a history of voter fraud, ACORN, is participating in next year's count, raising concerns about the politicization of the decennial survey.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now signed on as a national partner with the U.S. Census Bureau in February 2009 to assist with the recruitment of the 1.4 million temporary workers needed to go door-to-door to count every person in the United States, currently believed to be more than 306 million people.

With Acorn involved, it will turn out that 285 million of those will be poor, pregnant, inner-city minority-homeless who have AIDS and mental health issues.

Why actually go out and count when you can sit in a bar and write down what you're told?

This sickens me. Why in the world would you hire proven cheats and liars?

Oh wait... We just elected them to the White House and a majority in Congress. Silly me.

I agree, this sickens me.

Does Obama and the federal government really believe that there is no one better or more trustworthy than ACORN (with a long track-record of deceit) to provide this vitally important service?

I hope this is protested like crazy.

I, for one, am plugging my ears, closing my eyes and saying lalalalalala a lot these days. I know, pretty useless, but I'm overwhelmed.

I do not understand why ACORN was hired instead of the Census Bureau doing the work instead.

Or, as in our case, the census was mailed to us, we filled it out, and sent it back.

Do we need anyone to help us do THAT?

DUH.

Yep, Chris, cheats and liars.
