Hillary Rodham, who became Hillary Rodham Clinton, who became Hillary Clinton, who became Hillary Rodham Clinton... Has become Hillary Clinton again.

and...

George Tenet has written a book which criticizes President Bush for believing George Tenet's Intelligence.

It's been that kind of day.

It's a Porn World After All

My brother is a preacher down in Florida and he sends me his sermons on CD, which I load into my iPod. Anyway, yesterday I was listening to him relate a story to his church about how he used to have premium channels on cable. He said he was home alone one day watching a movie which wasn't porn, but that he still shouldn't have been watching. His wife arrived home and as he heard the door open he jumped up, grabbed the remote, and turned off the TV.

He suddenly realized that he had been watching something in God's presence that he was ashamed for his wife to see him watching. So, he cancelled the premium channels.

Also from his sermon:
1) Nearly 50% of American men admit to regularly visiting porn sights on the Internet.
2) 25% of American women admit visiting porn sites.
3) One third of conservative Evangelical Christians say going to R rated movies is "OK."
4) 40% of the men who are "promise-keepers" say they have a problem with porn on the Internet.

And of course... Network television has become "porn with clothes on."

It's odd that I wring my hands over the fact that Radical Islam threatens to conquer the West and subjugate us... When the Principalities of Darkness have already kicked our door down.

There is coming a time when being a Christian, and having a TV in your home... will be "incompatible personal circumstances." But for now I intend to continue to "kid myself" that I can watch TV and remain unaffected. Uninfected.

...That somehow I can bathe my brain in secular and sinful entertainment - and strive to be holy at the same time. Uh huh...

The Green Newt

After Newt's disappointing performance at his great environmental debate with John Kerry... This may be nothing but damage control aimed at his conservative supporters.

Gingrich writes:

Vice President Al Gore suggests that global warming is so bad that we could have a 20-foot rise in the oceans in the near future. No responsible scientist anywhere believes that to be true. But if the debate becomes, "Al Gore cares about the earth, and we're against Al Gore," we end up in a defensive position where the average American could end up perceiving conservatives as always being negative about the environment.

So what is Green Conservatism? Here are its basic values:
*
1) Green Conservatism favors clean air and clean water.

*
2) Green Conservatism understands biodiversity as a positive good.

*
3) Green Conservatism favors minimizing carbon loading in the atmosphere as a positive public value.

*
4) Green Conservatism is pro-science, pro-technology and pro-innovation.

*
5) Green Conservatism believes that green prosperity and green development are integral to the successful future of the human race.

*
6) Green Conservatism believes that economic growth and environmental health are compatible in both the developed and developing world.

*
7) Green Conservatism believes that we can realize more positive environmental outcomes faster by shifting tax code incentives and shifting market behavior than is possible from litigation and regulation.

For those of us who believe that "Man-Made" Global Warming is a hoax and a political tool of the Left, these words ring as just more political manipulation... Perhaps by just another candidate looking for a way to raise his positive numbers in the polls. There is a conservative flavor to these ideas, but it is still based upon the assumption that man can change global temps with changed behavior.

Newt is a shrewd politician. I'm willing to believe that smart politics is what this is really all about.

A Message for Harry

From Cpl Tyler Rock:

"We need to stay here and help rebuild."

"Yeah and I got a quote for that douche Harry Reid. These families need us here. Obviously he has never been in Iraq or at least the area worth seeing. The parts where insurgency is rampant and the buildings are blown to pieces."

"If Iraq didnt want us here then why do we have Iraqi Police volunteering everyday to rebuild their cities, and working directly with us too. "

"It sucks that Iraqi’s have more patriotism for a country that has turned to complete s---, more than the people in America who drink Starbucks everyday."

"We could leave this place and say we are sorry to the terrorists. and then we could wait for 3,000 more American civilians to die before we say “hey thats not nice” again."

"And the sad thing is after we WIN this war, people like [Harry Reid] will say he was there for us the whole time."

Harry Reid, whose nickname from childhood is "Pinky", never served in the military. My guess is that the corporal has a better grasp of what is happening in Iraq than does the Senator.

ICLU

Mark Studler has nothing against people expressing their religious beliefs, even on their license plates.

But the Allen County man says he also believes those folks should be treated like Hoosiers who use their vehicle tags to promote education or the environment and are charged an extra fee to do so.

Studler and the ACLU of Indiana went to court Monday to challenge a law allowing Hoosier motorists to acquire "In God We Trust" plates at no additional cost.

"The Bureau of Motor Vehicles offers dozens of specialty plates, supporting organizations from the Indianapolis Colts to arts groups. The "In God We Trust" plate is the only generally available specialty plate exempt from any fee," said Ken Falk, legal director for the ACLU of Indiana, which filed the suit on Studler's behalf in Marion Superior Court.
*****
Rep. Woody Burton, R-Greenwood, led the effort in 2006 that created the plate. He has said that judges are chipping away at the Judeo-Christian foundation of America, and he backed the plate to give like-minded residents the chance to show their concern.
"Over half a million of these plates have been (distributed). It's the No. 1 plate in the state," he said.
*****
You see these new plates everywhere. The ACLU and other Christian-Haters everywhere have to be livid.

Nora, The Piano-Playing Cat (www.ravenswingstudio.com)

I can't believe I am posting this.

This is just wrong.

Hillary and Illegals

Last Thursday Mrs. Clinton appointed an individual named Raul Yzaguirre, identified as a “Hispanic civil rights activist,” to co-chair her presidential campaign and to direct her outreach efforts to Hispanic voters.
Proud to have an opportunity to help the Senator’s cause, Yzaguirre beamed: “Hillary Clinton has spent more than three decades advocating on behalf of those who are invisible in America."

But not invisible when they show up to rip off the system (you and me).

Let’s take a look at the man who spoke these words, and who was entrusted by Mrs. Clinton to fill one of the most vital positions in her campaign. For fully three decades, from 1974 to 2004, Yzaguirre served as President and CEO of the National Council of La Raza, an organization that:

· views the United States as an irredeemably racist nation
· favors racial and ethnic preferences for minorities in the workplace and in higher education
· supports open borders and amnesty for all illegal aliens
· supports the DREAM Act, which is designed to allow illegal aliens to attend college at the reduced tuition rates normally reserved for in-state legal residents
· advocates “reform” that would give illegal aliens full access to taxpayer-funded health care services
· characterizes any reduction in government assistance to illegal border-crossers as “a disgrace to American values”
· supports access to driver’s licenses for illegal aliens
· supports voting rights for illegal aliens
· opposes the Aviation Transportation and Security Act requiring that all airport baggage screeners be U.S. citizens
· opposes the Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act, which would empower state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws
· opposes the Real ID Act, which requires that all driver’s license and photo ID applicants be able to verify they are legal residents of the United States, and that the documents they present to prove their identity are genuine.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat Candidate would stick-it to Americans for the sake of a few votes. Look what they have done to our young soldiers and the war effort... Just to win elections. When you have no character... When integrity is subject to poll data... When full-term infants are fair-game for sacrifice to your political ambitions...
Is there any wallow or mire that is beneath you?

How Do You Solve A Problem Like Katie

Morale at CBS News is dropping even lower now that Katie Couric has led the CBS Evening News into the network news ratings cellar.

And in a money-first business like television, third place out of three may not cut it, even if your anchor is a $15 million-a-year television star.

In fact, a "veteran correspondent" tells Gail Shister of the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Katie Couric experiment is "a disaster. Everybody knows it's not working. CBS may not cut her loose, but I guarantee you, somebody's thinking about it."

And what does Katie have to say?:

"I don’t think I ever felt so uncomfortable to the point it made viewers uncomfortable . . . I know it sounds so self-helpy, but you do grow when you’re facing challenges, and when people are taking shots at you right and left."

"Self helpy?" The way I see it - anyone that can read can anchor the CBS Evening News. But if you want someone that projects a gravitas superior to that of a head cheerleader or an astronaut's wife... Choose a journalist that has paid his... Or her... Dues.

Oh... And maybe you might also try repairing your palpable left wing bias to the point that you have at least a semblance of fairness.

Sheryl Crow's Toilet Issues

Every Earth Day we get a glimpse of the clear thinking, level-headed environmentalists and the ways they want to tell us how to live.

My favorite this year is Sheryl Crow, who said:

I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming... I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting... I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.

Thanks Sheryl. I don't know what your plumbing is like, but when most of us experience those "pesky occasions," 2 or 3 squares simply won't "cut the mustard" - as we say in Greentown.

(I hope she washes her hands.)
***
If saving 3 to 4 wads of T.P. per day (6 to 8 after Mexican Night) will save the planet - I'm all for it! But why stop there, Sheryl? Can't you just carry a rag in your purse and wash yourself at the sink?
***
Or perhaps Ms. Crow could make a leap back in time when the planet was more pristine and everything was "natural."

Muslim, But Totally Hot

As a public service the entire staff at Malott's Blog is searching diligently for beautiful Arab and Persian Muslim women and posting their pictures weekly in an effort to show that you can be Muslim, but Totally Hot at the same time. This new weekly feature is titled "Muslim, But Totally Hot."

Marisol Nichols
Uh... OK, she isn't really Muslim, but she plays one on TV's "24." She is not Arab or Persian either... She is of Mexican descent... But she is totally hot!

Wafah Dufour

This is Osama Bin Laden's niece, so I'm reasonably confident that she is both Arab and Muslim. Totally Hot? This blond Christian thinks so. Osama must be totally proud, as any good uncle would be.

OK! Don't miss next week's edition of Muslim, But Totally Hot, when Malott's Blog once again reveals the babe under the burqa.

Senate Majority Leader Delivers "Mission Accomplished" Speech for Radical Islam

"I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and - you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows - (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday," said Reid, D-Nev.

Thanks Harry. That should embolden our enemies and encourage them to fight even harder. How many young Americans did you just sentence to death with that statement?
This kind of talk has consequences - and is the reason why the Democrat Party cannot be trusted with our national security.

Killing Newborns

The Supreme Court has ruled that a doctor is not allowed to deliver a full-term infant feet first - all but its head - cut a hole in the back of its neck - and while its legs are still kicking - suck its brains out.

Hillary Clinton: "It is precisely this erosion of our constitutional rights that I warned against when I opposed the nominations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito."

Barack Obama: "I strongly disagree with today’s Supreme Court ruling."

John Edwards: "I could not disagree more strongly with today's Supreme Court decision. Too much is at stake - starting with, as the Court made all too clear today, a woman's right to choose."

Don't you love those special, rare occasions when politics really is a question of black and white? ...When the choices you make at the ballot box are clearly between good and evil?

The three leading contenders for the Democrat nomination for president in 2008 have now distinguished and defined themselves as MONSTERS.

Time to Blame

"You caused me to do this."

No Cho - this happened because you were an evil, selfish, pathetic little piece of crap. That's why you did it. There is no deep psychological reason. There is no romantic or tragic story at play. You were a despicable little loser. Period.

Parents of a Virginia Tech student expressed outrage Monday at what they call an inadequate response by college brass to the worst mass-murder shooting in American history.

John and Jennifer Shourds of Lovettsville, Va. demanded the immediate firings of University President Charles Steger and Virginia Tech Campus Police Chief W.R. Flinchum who he said "screwed up" the handling of separate shooting incidents that left 33 students dead, including the shooter.

I'd be willing to bet my left leg that these parents, whose daughter was unharmed, are liberal Democrats.

So let the feeding frenzy begin. The media won't be satisfied until they make Cho a cult hero and usher the Virginia Tech officials to the unemployment office.

People Who Should Be Euthanized

As a public service the entire staff at Malott's Blog will be preparing a list of people who should, for whatever reason, be humanely put out of their misery. This weekly feature will attempt to single out groups and individuals that even devout Christians could feel good about killing.

Fans of Rosie O'Donnell

Yes, who can argue that people who like Rosie O'Donnell wouldn't be better off dead? Just how miserable, obnoxious, and stupid would you have to be to find this woman likable and entertaining?

As a Conservative and a "thinking person" I selfishly want to keep Rosie herself alive... And I definitely want her to keep talking and making a fool of herself. This caricature of a woman is the perfect representative of the Left and does more for the conservative movement than she will ever know.

But the people who like her? Shouldn't we do the kind thing...?

New Crime Drama to Debut on NBC

Hollywood - In an effort to boost sagging ratings, NBC will air a new drama in July featuring a group of crime-solving Nuns who travel the world taking down the worst of the "bad guys."

In the two-hour premier of "Nuns with Guns", the good sisters are called to the Vatican where Pope Leo XI (Chuck Norris), a former karate champion and Benedictine, has begun cleaning out the riff raff in the church. This "Pontiff with a punch" understands the concept of tough love, and after an attempt on his life, calls on the sisters to solve the mystery and save the day.

Norris will lend his voice to the show weekly as he gives the 10 nuns their assignments over the phone, and will return occasionally in person to lend his karate skills to the fight. As sister Mary Catherine (Kate Mulgrew) puts it, "Finally! A pope that kicks ass!"

"Nuns with Guns" is slated for the 9PM hour on Monday nights and promises to appeal to the coveted "monastic audience" and families of every faith.

In the fall, NBC will debut a sitcom in which the Vatican sends a nun to work in a large corporation. Sister Judith (Melanie Griffith) has a mind for business and a bod that is packed into a low-cut habit. "Nun of My Business" will air on Thursdays at 8PM.

Christmas for GOP and Talk Radio

DENVER - Sen. John Kerry (D-Massachusetts) reopened the door to a possible 2008 presidential campaign during a book signing in Denver and then again, in an interview with 9NEWS.
The 2004 Democratic nominee told a crowd of more than 250 at the Tattered Cover bookstore in lower downtown Denver that he had no desire to endorse any candidate for the office right now, choosing to wait to see how they addressed the issue of global warming.

I hope the Dems remain true to their love affair with man-made global warming. I hope John Kerry enters the race in 2008. I hope the temps in Miami remain 10 degrees cooler than normal throughout the summer. I hope the Democrat Party continues to designate the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as the annointed spokesmen for African Americans... until every African American Democrat throws up. I hope "hos" with straight hair approach Imus - asking for equal time. I hope that John Edwards continues to boycot Fox News so that I will see less of him. I hope Mrs Clinton's buttocks continues to grow until it is a metaphor for "big government."

Thank you.

Nappy-Headed Ho-in-Chief Takes Action
Are African Americans really that sensitive and fragile? Is their self-esteem so low that they must be protected from stupid jokes and insults?

I don't like to be around people like that... I don't like to feel like I must be very careful what I say... or that I must tread lightly as if on egg shells...

...Which is exactly the reaction that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton wish to elicit from us crackers... because it evokes resentment... keeps tensions high and nerves frayed... and keeps them in front of the cameras.

Meanwhile... Jackson and Sharpton... The real hos... The real haters... The real racists... The biggest hypocrites... They get to keep their phony-baloney jobs.

As for me... I'll keep thinking African Americans are generally... like me... secure enough to take a joke... even a bad one.

Fred Thompson, The Presidency, and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

I talked today with a pathologist friend of mine - and though doctors have a non-committal language all their own - he basically said that there are lymphomas that are not life-threatening, inasmuch that the patient lives a normal lifespan and ends up dying of something unrelated to the lymphoma. This is basically what Thompson related in his interview with Cavuto.

Then I asked my physician friend if he would rather have McCain's melanoma or Thompson's lymphoma.

Again the jargon. But I gathered that if the melanoma is treated early when it's very superficial, then it's very curable - and would be his choice. Otherwise, he said, he would prefer to have the Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

So is it a non-issue? Don't bet on it. If Thompson gains momentum then you can be sure that "experts" and horror stories will come out of the woodwork in an effort to torpedo this popular conservatives chances for the nomination. And if Thompson gets the nomination, the mainstream media won't quit until the public thinks "cancer" is Fred's middle name.

Kurt Vonnegut RIP

An avowed humanist, Vonnegut became more pessimistic about human capacity for good in his later years. In a 2004 essay he wrote, "Only a nut case would want to be a human being, if he or she had a choice." And he told the Los Angeles Times in a 2005 interview, "I think we're a very bad idea. Look at the 20th century. You've got the Holocaust, two world wars, Hiroshima. Let's just call it off."

On a bookshelf in my living room you'll find approximately 98% of this man's literary work. Original... Hardback.... Worth more today than yesterday.

I had an appetite for his work back when I was as lost as he was.

I believe it was in Cat's Cradle that Vonnegut thought up the crystal "Ice 9" which transformed water to a solid form whenever contact was made with the crystal... Leaving the oceans a solid mass and humans as frozen statues. The main character ended up as a statue... On his back... Thumbing his nose at the heavens.
...That pretty much sums it up.

Imus the Rude

"That's some nappy-headed hos there, I'm going to tell you that."

That's what Liberal, Democrat supporter Don Imus said about the Rutgers Women's Basketball Team.

I'm reminded of Jimmie the Greek who was fired for saying that Blacks were superior athletes because, "During the slave period, the slave owner would breed his big black with his big woman so that he would have a big black kid—that's where it all started."

Both comments were stupid. And in both cases those who profit from racial drum banging jumped on the speaker with both feet.
... Like Jesse Jackson who once called New York "Hymie Town" - slurring the Jews.

Jimmy the Greek shouldn't have been fired for saying something stupid. Imus shouldn't be fired for being rude.

FYI: Of course, African Americans are better sprinters and jumpers because their muscles contain a larger percentage of "fast-twitch" muscle fibers than do whites. Whites have a preponderance of "slow-twitch" muscle fibers that make them generally better long distance runners.

But you didn't hear it here!!

Give Us Your Tired, Your Suicide Bombers,
Your Huddled Terrorists Yearning to Blow Us Up...

DAMASCUS, April 5 (UPI) -- The head of a U.N. agency charged with caring for Palestinian refugees said the United States has offered to receive 7,000 Palestinians who fled Iraq.

Karen Koning AbuZayd, commissioner general of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, said Thursday no specific country has offered to receive Palestinian refugees in Iraq, "but I know the United States confirmed it can take 7,000 of them."

So no specific country has offered to receive them? Let us ponder why...

Hmmmm. Maybe there is concern that they have nothing to offer the "receiving" country. Maybe the "terrorist suicide bomber thing" is a concern. Has anyone thought about giving them back to the Palestinians?

No, just bring them here. What we need in this country is a few thousand more welfare cases who hate America.

Brilliant!

Fred Thompson - Fox News Part 1

I could vote for this guy. I'm beginning to hope I get the chance.

Pirates of Tehran

Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson writes:

Oil prices fell. The stock market rose. Video images of smiling British soldiers with Iranian President Ahmadinejad were everywhere. So were pictures of the 15 freed hostages embracing family members back home. The relief over the return of the Brits was so tremendous; you could almost hear birds singing.

Maybe it's because military action won't be needed or maybe it's just because the ordeal won't drag on and on, but the world is breathing easier now. A lot of folks are happy. The problem, as I see it, is that Ahmadinejad seems to be the happiest.

And why shouldn't he be? He has shown the world that his forces can kidnap British citizens, subject them to brutal psychological tactics to coerce phony confessions, finagle the release of a high-ranking Iranian terror coordinator in Iraq, utterly trash the Geneva conventions and suffer absolutely no consequences.

It is critical that we see this incident as part of a long pattern of behavior -- that will continue as long as the current leadership is in power. More importantly, it will escalate unimaginably if Iran achieves nuclear status, and with it the ability to hold millions rather than individuals hostage.

I have no idea if Ahmadinejad and those who put him in power really believe the Shi'a Twelver doctrine that they can spur the messiah to return by triggering Armageddon. You have to admit, though, that the possibility that they look forward to entering paradise as martyrs would make them a whole lot scarier as a nuclear power than the USSR ever was.

Fred Thompson... I think he's got it!
Great News!!!!!!!

He is risen!

I Ask... Could An Ordinary MP3 Player Do This?

My wife’s uncle works in a military hospital and told me about this. Its pretty amazing. Kevin Garrad (3rd Infantry Division) was on a street patrol in Iraq (Tikrit I believe) and as he rounded the corner of a building an armed (AK-47) insurgent came from the other side.

The two of them were within just a few feet of each other when they opened fire. The insurgent was killed and Kevin was hit in the left chest where his IPod was in his jacket pocket. It slowed the bullet down enough that it did not completely penetrate his body armor. Fortunately, Kevin suffered no wound.

Sometimes it's critical to buy the best.

Lil' Nancy Sends All The Wrong Messages

With Muslim tyrants all over the Middle East laughing their butts off... Little Nancy Pelosi embarrasses America both in her dress and her lack of respect for the American War effort.

This is reminiscent of Jesse Jackson's pseudo-diplomatic junkets, giving tyrants the opportunity to "stick it" to the American president.

If I was an official in the Syrian or Iranian government... or if I was a leader of Al Qada, I'd be smiling, winking, guffawing, and saying - "We got to get these Democrats elected! It will make our jobs so much easier. America won't even see us coming!"

Thanks Nance... you self-serving little twit.

American Taliban = American Terrorist

The parents of John Walker Lindh, serving a 20-year sentence in the country's toughest federal prison, stepped up their request for his release today...

"John has been in prison for more than five years," said his mother, Marilyn Walker. "It's time for him to come home."

Yes. Taking up arms against his homeland? It was America... Who could blame him! Aiding terrorists? He probably didn't know there was a law against that.
This is just another instance in which America and its government has an opportunity to show that it is serious about fighting the Global War on Terror. (Oh wait! Am I still aloud to say that?)

Little Big Man
If the British government is a afraid to teach about the Holocaust, then it surely is afraid to protect its sailors from Radical Islam.

The American Experiment's Timetable

This was emailed to me. It's been circulating on the internet for some time (I love the internet) and according to another internet source, is ficticious in its origin. Just disregard the names and cited texts and enjoy. The election and state data numers are reasonably accurate as far as I can tell.

I don't agree with the timing -or necessarily the result - but the writer makes some interesting points.

How Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen statesadopted their new constitution in 1787, AlexanderTyler, a Scottish history professor at theUniversity of Edinburgh , had this to say about thefall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 yearsearlier:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government."
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury."
"From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."
"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years." "During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back into bondage"

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Gore: 19; Bush: 29
Square miles of land won by: Gore: 580,000; Bush:2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Gore: 127 million;Bush: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Gore: 13.2; Bush: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase. If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

This was written by a true conservative... If not an honest one.

Ayn Rand had an interesting theory about the end of democracy and socialism's part in that end - that she used in writing Atlas Shrugged. She suggested that the people who carry this world will just one day give up and retreat when their "losing battle" is no longer profitable.
