What we are

I found this on an "atheist" blog. I'm sure the person that put it together thinks he is a "good" person, with many profound and important things to say. But if there is no God - If we are just animals - What does it matter?
Why be more than animals? Why be moral. There are more fun things to do.
Actually, the producer of this film, this atheist, is very religious - In his own way. And he judges - Like our God. HE is his god, and he feels he is entitled.

So you're telling me that the only thing keeping you from being an axe-wielding psychopath is your belief in a God? Good grief! Remind me to keep you away from crowds and small children. :)

I'm not sure what I would be if morality meant nothing - If right and wrong was just a human invention.

All I know is - It really wouldn't matter.

Some monkeys think they're smarter than the other monkeys and know better just what we are. So the smart monkeys make stupid videos disparaging the other monkeys who think they're smarter than non-monkeys.

And the smart, video-making monkeys have no idea their unmitigated arrogance is as plain as the hair on their unshaved faces.

Precisely the point of the video, methinks.

And the smart, video-making monkeys have no idea their unmitigated arrogance is as plain as the hair on their unshaved faces.

Why arrogance? What makes you think that the critique entailed in the video isn't partially self-directed?

You're very quick to play the "you think you're better than me" routine.

AV,

Ha! I was actually kind of hoping that he would react in some way to something on your blog. That video was priceless. So was Malott's reaction, to be quite honest.
