Class at the Souper Bowl
I couldn't find the Irsay quote, so I'll paraphrase:
Jim Irsay, Colts Owner: "The Lord has brought us together as a family."
Tony Dungy, when asked about being the first African American Coach to win the Super Bowl: "But again, more than anything, Lovie Smith and I are not only African-American but also Christian coaches, showing you can do it the Lord's way. We're more proud of that."
Values on display. Pure class.

I caught the last 9 minutes of the game, after some friends and I went to the movies and then I went to Costco (NO LINES at the checkout!). It took me a while to find the right channel first.
The announcers didn't talk about Dungy's faith, but they emphasized that he never raises his voice. The respect the announcers have for both Super Bowl coaches was clear as day.
You beat me to the same post!
I was so impressed with Tony Dungy and his humble spirit. I can't say that I really know much about Lovie Smith, but he also seems to be a good guy and it's nice to see the good guys get some credit once in a while.
