A Time To Kill

Food just hasn't tasted good to me since yesterday. I can't seem to relax. There is a distraction and an edge to everything I do.

Yesterday afternoon I was listening to The Peter Heck Show as Mr Heck described how those two young soldiers were tortured and killed in Iraq... How their arms were twisted from their sockets and their eyes were gouged out... How they were emasculated... And had their hearts cut from their bodies. I stopped what I was doing and sat down.

It's difficult to hear these things and proceed through the day in quite the same way as before. These young men were working for me. I was paying their salary. They were just doing their jobs, and they were subjected to a horrible death.

This is the evil that Representative Murtha wants to back down from. This is the enemy that has drawn encouragement from the Democrat Leadership's constant attacks on the President and the war effort. These are the terrorists that the mainstream media insists on calling insurgents.

The problem with fighting in the Middle East is that the locals fear Radical Islam more than they fear us, so they are reluctant to help us. We fight civilized wars. Radical Islam tortures. We protect the innocent. They murder women and children. We fight to free. They fight to enslave.

It's time to kill this evil, and every moment of procrastination drives the cost higher. Every move by the Democrats that causes this Evil to question our resolve makes the battle harder and increases the risks for our soldiers.

We must not ignore this Evil because it will not be content with anything less than our destruction. Retreating from Iraq only moves the battle lines. They are coming and they must be stopped.

We will fight this Evil now, or it will eventually reign over us.

Very well said.

You are absolutely right on every account.

What makes me angry and so very sad at the same time is the knowledge that many liberals in this country seem eager to compare the actions of the U.S. to those of the terrorists. Many must honestly believe that we are equally as evil as the enemy is. They have no sense of reality and apparently no common sense.

In the end, if the liberals can't see the difference between us and them, freedom and oppression, good and evil, then they see no real threat and no reason to keep fighting.

Thanks Andrew.

Christina,

I think you're right. They have no sense of the gravity of the situation we are in, or its global implications.

Chris,

I knew about the soldiers' eyes. And cigarette burns. I hadn't heard about the rest. It's so distressing to realize we don't know half of what they suffered. I can't imagine what their families are going through.

You're right about our choices: Fight them, or be enslaved.

Christina,

You're absolutely right. The hard left believes we (President Bush and his supporters) are just as evil as the monsters who tortured our soldiers.

Makes me want to go home and crawl in bed so I don't have to think about out it. But that's the wrong response.

Fight!

I am confused. How did all the newscasters know about the testicles/penises cut off, eyes gouged out, ears cut off, etc. when their bodies weren't even found yet? I haven't heard anything except that one or maybe both had their heads cut off-which either you did or you didn't. There shouldn't be any gray area concerning that. I saw the video and it did look like Private Tucker's eyes were dark, so perhaps his eyes were cut out. The stills also look like he was being autopsied by those spawn from hell. The thing I want to know is how did the newscasters and newspapers know about the way their bodies were treated when the military and families weren't saying squat? Also, I'm confused about how the mutilations were taking place in a public place that looks like daylight, early evening when the military had 8000 troups looking for them and airplanes were flying overhead looking for them, how is it that they were doing this in public? Does anyone know? And I'm baffled about how eyewitnesses say the terrorists took the men from their checkpoint but blood was found in one of the cars that was used to take them, clearly suggesting that they were wounded or already dead. What were the witnesses saying, that the privates were still standing and were taken by force or that they were already incapacitated and they had to carry them to the cars? I guess, for my peace of mind, I want Menchaca and Tucker to have been killed at the checkpoint and not have to suffer the torture their bodies endured. The video suggests that perhaps they were already dead because they would of made a video of them denouncing the U.S. and then showing them being beheaded. If they had time to make a video of them mutilating their bodies, then they surely would of made a video of them alive and forcing them to say shit against the U.S. and the President. Does anyone know the autopsy results? Were they killed at the checkpoint or later on? I can't seem to find anything except stuff written in June and that was before they had further information. How is that eveyone on this blog seems to know everything?
