Obama's Fair Housing Plan

CHICAGO-- Barack Obama announced today a new plan to redistribute housing in an effort to help many of America's poorest families. In comments made from a mall in Chicago, Obama stated, "Why should a poor welfare mother with six kids have to live in a two room apartment in downtown Chicago, when retirees in the suburbs whose children have already left, have more room than they need. By simply switching the families' homes we produce a better 'fit' and a more efficient use of our nation's housing resources."

There is no plan at this time for the parties to switch bank accounts.

I know. But would it really surprise you?

I, for one, am looking forward to the possibilities if Barrack Obama is elected. I am sure that I will instantly become rich. Since he plans to raise taxes only on the rich, I have no doubt that means me.

At this point....almost nothing would surprise me. All three branches of government are making proposals and decisions that confuse more than direct.

Chris, you never fail to make me laugh.

Seriously, I'm baffled by the support this socialist is getting. Why are hard working Americans blinded by the communistic rhetoric. Are things really that bad in the heartland that so many are ready to trade their freedom for a couple of freebies?

You've been watching Dr. Zhivago, haven't you, Chris?

With Obama's radical friends and past... I believe we ARE heading into an area where our personal property is negotiable.

And yes, Skyepuppy... I thought of Zhivago's return after the revolution when I wrote this.

Oh... And I once dreamed I got married and my bride moved her family and the man she loved into my home.

this is nothing but lies. He has never said anything like this. you are bearing false witness.

Anonymous,

You said: "This is nothing but lies."

No, this is nothing but satire.

I'm sorry I didn't make that more obvious.

To anonymous,

No, Obama did not say those exact words (it was obvious to the rest of us that Malott was employing satire), but he has said some frightening similar things.

Case in point: When asked by a local man at one of his rallies if his (Obama's) plan would tax the man (a plumber) more, Obama clearly advocated the redistribution of wealth from the rich (and I doubt many of us would think of the average plumber as rich) to the poor. Here is the exchange:

"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."

"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

How is this different in principle from what Malott again, in satire, said?
