My Advice for Senator Craig

Craig pleaded guilty earlier this month to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct after his arrest in June in an undercover sting operation at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport where police were targeting lewd behavior in the men's toilet.

The best thing Senator Larry Craig could do for himself is to switch to the Democrat Party. The result would be... Republicans and conservatives would think about the same of him as they do now, and the Democrats and the mainstream media (here I repeat myself) would love him.

"Ladies and gentleman, this experience has been a kind of epiphany for me. I now understand how gays are treated in this country, and I believe as a Democrat, I could stand with a party that respects diversity..." is all he would have to say.

Democrats in Congress and the mainstream media stand behind their own in matters of perversion, perjury, plagiarism, and a multitude of sins and criminal acts. When they can't turn a blind eye, they spin the facts and the story into any shape that helps their cause.

Whether it's shady land deals by Harry Reid and Barack Obama... Or the classics: Barney Frank, Sandy Berger, Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, Clinton, and Clinton... The "Scoundrels Are Us" Party knows how to care for its own.

So Larry, do yourself a favor.

Sorry about the deletion, but you kind of crossed the line there.

The members of the Democrat Party welcomed the "pro-life" Bill Clinton and Al Gore... Once they became pro-choice.

I think Senator Craig would be welcomed if he changed his tune about a few things.

Well, if that isn't a kick in the knickers.

EWdited version of my comment:

Depraved individuals like Larry Craig, who seek solace from themselves under the shade of a conservative-leaning party like the GOP, deserve to be outed and shamed as hypocrites.

If he can't get his own lame life together, why should he be fit to make laws for others?

I caught the very end of Dennis Prager's radio show today, and he was playing the audio from his appearance on last night's Hannity & Colmes show. Hannity was trying to get the lefty guest (I didn't catch his name) to explain why he believes Craig should leave office for playing footsie in the men's room, but the lefty guest doesn't have a problem with Barney Frank (had a gay prostitution ring running in his house) staying in office.

When the lefty guest said that Republicans want to tell everyone how to live but Democrats don't, Dennis Prager objected. He pointed out (correctly) that Democrats want to tell everyone how to live in every area of their lives EXCEPT the bedroom. How to spend (or send to the government) their money. Where they can't smoke. What they can and can't say (PC laws). How they have to live in regards to global warming.

The lefty guest started flipping out over global warming.

It's amazing how blind the Democrats are to their own hypocrisy.

Jacob,

All true... And that's why the Republicans will give him the boot.

Skyepuppy,

The mainstream media define the parameters of all debates... And that makes all the difference.

The ultimate example of this was when Bill Clinton threw out integrity, and the media reported on how masterfully he did it.

Completely irrelevant, but I found an article which I found interesting and very hard to disagree with. I'm wondering what you think:

I need a secular state

"The state should not enforce sharia because compliance should never be coerced by fear or faked to appease state officials."

Jacob,
The author of the first article uses a religious argument to promote a secular state.
I totally agree with him, but I'm not sure how you put the brakes on the current fundamentalist movement that seems to believe that compliance born of coercion is a legitimate promotion of their religion... Which trumps all other concerns.

All 4 articles were interesting. Thanks for the heads-up.

And once the (former?) Senator becomes a card-carrying member of the Democrat party, he can cruise all the public bathrooms he wants. Oh the joy of it all.
