Treading Water in a Dangerous World

On 9/12/01 - none of us - could have conceived that George Bush, the Military, and the Intelligence Community would protect us from another attack on American soil for... Six Days - Let alone Six Years.

But while George Bush has exceeded every one's (yes, every one's) expectations, we still use the misnomer "War on Terror" for the war against Radical Islam, and our country is inexplicably divided on whether we should fight it or surrender.

Daniel Pipes at Front Page Mag writes:
To one side stand those of us who see the Muslim world going through a temporary crisis and who seek ways to help modernize its religion, so that Muslims can flourish. To the other side stand those who see Islam as an irredeemable death cult and seek to ban Islam and disengage from Muslims.

I stand somewhere else. I prefer the "carrot and big stick" approach to Islam.

Demonstrate that you are not a drooling Defective from the Dark Ages and I'll share my carrot with you. Otherwise...

The "Information Age" - The Satellite - and Middle East Oil Money have transformed our world into what it is. Our best hope may be that we can continue "treading water" until the Oil Money runs out.
