Congressman Peter King and Too Many Mosques

New York Rep. Peter King, a prominent House Republican, said there are “too many mosques in this country” in a recent interview with Politico.

“There are too many people sympathetic to radical Islam,” King said. “We should be looking at them more carefully and finding out how we can infiltrate them.”

Earlier, King had said in an interview with radio and television host Sean Hannity that 85 percent of the mosques in this country are controlled by “extremist leadership,” a comment that prompted strong condemnations from many religious organizations and from the Democratic National Committee.

The Democrat National Committee is thoroughly disgusted that King would trash its allies in the radical Islamic world.

The Democrats, the ACLU, Radical Islam, Illegals, the Mainstream Media, MoveOn.org, and everyone else that hates America are sure to go after this guy for speaking the obvious truth.

I've liked Rep. King since the first time I heard him, probably on Laura Ingraham's radio show. The guy is a strait shooter. If he had run for president, I'd be supporting him. But he's got too much sense for that.

I, too, like Peter King. I agree we are bending backwards to Islam because of wanting to be open-minded, etc. BUT, to limit Mosques might give precedent to limit Temples, Synagogues, and Churches in this country as well. It's a no-win situation no matter what we do. Darn.

Ummm... Have you checked your email (hotmail)?

The statement was incomplete. Rep. King said there are too many mosques that don't cooperate with law enforcement.

Then again, I expect nothing less from the MSM for misquoting.

Janice,

Excellent point! The MSM does love to edit.

But of course, they're not biased. No, they're only being objective.

Skyepuppy...

I check my email a couple times per week, thank you.

But perhaps you were writing to someone else.

Chris,

Yes, perhaps I was. Whoever it was must have thought it strange to get an email from me.
