Richard The Third and I have so much in common... The way we talk... The humps on our backs... Our ladies-in-waiting...
I'm sure there is an Indiana record for days in which the ground is snow-covered and the temperature remains below freezing... And surely the record is in jeopardy.
I took this picture out my bedroom window back in December. The scene has not changed.
My kingdom for a warm day.

Oh amen. I do enjoy taking pictures outside when the snow is fresh-fallen, but I'm wondering what grass looks like....and sunshine?
Bekah, you know that if you move the snow out of the way, the grass is brown and maybe a little slimy. It's better this way, having it covered by snow until spring sends the green shoots popping up and bringing joy and wonder.
Some things (car accident victims, winter grass) are just better not seen.
I may end up getting a Sgt Preston outfit and a huskie named Yukon King.
Skyepuppy, Bekah and I both know that you are sitting in southern California laughing at us.
Malott, we've more snow this year than we've had for the past 15 or so years. So, your backyard is much like mine. I long for sunshine, green grass, and even the view of non-slushy asphalt streets.
Just go back a few posts in my blog and you'll see what my view still looks like as well.
I can't remember the last day we had when it didn't snow.
But then I come from the East. And as tired as I get of the snow, it's better than the constant cold east coast rainy winter. I'd rather see pretty snow than muddy cold winter grass any day.
Chris,
Yes, I'm in Southern California, and the ground looks nothing like yours. I had to draw on my memories of Montana and Spokane winters (Spokane is next-door to Idaho and gets snowy winters. It's Seattle that gets rain). But I'm not laughing. I was trying to help Bekah find a way to appreciate what she has.
