Quote of the Day

I'm paying close attention to the next election... Mainly because I'm worried that the person who thought up Obama-Care will think up something else.

Boy will he...John Huntsman came to our area during the primaries and he told the audience that every president imposes his agenda most aggressively during the first 18 months following election. After 18 months all presidents somewhat lose the will of the people. That's why the congress swings the other direction during the midterm election. After that...it's all about re-election. Another thing...I've heard that if this healthcare bill is struck down or mortally wounded by the court it will be because it is too messy in its interaction with free market. If Obama is re-elected the door will be wide open for him to go for what he wanted in the first place during the first 18 months of his second term...a single payer (government) plan.

I'm sure you heard Obama's "hot mic" discussion with Medvedev... I'm wondering about unilateral disarmament and secrets that will be shared...

Oh, yeah. He was just telling the normally unspoken truth about every presidency. The problem is that he will be emboldened to move farther to the left than ever.
