Now I Understand

OK, now I understand why the Clintonistas wanted "The Path to 9/11" yanked from ABC's broadcast schedule. Even with the edits, Sandy Berger and especially Madeline Albright come across as weak, indecisive, negligent, and clueless.

"Are there no men left in Washington? Are they all cowards?"

And isn't it always a pleasure to revisit President Clinton's bald-faced lying to the American people?

I taped Monday's installment and have only viewed the part where the writers attempted a little "forced fairness" by making Condoleeza Rice look cartoonish... (or was it maybe to throw cold water on any presidential bid?)

Riveting television is so rare. I'm enjoying it.

I taped Part 1, but my local ABC affiliate decided to show a football game last night. They'll air Part 2 Saturday night at 9pm. Is it worth waiting for?

Clinton tried to have cordial relations with Muslim countries but he may not have known difference between Turkey and Pakistan. Northen Alliance was ignored just not to cause any heartburn to Pakistan. It was a sane statement by Masood.

It was an interesting series that adequately portrayed that the U.S. potential security problems no matter who the president was at the time. The person who played Dick Cheney looked like Donald Rumsfeld...the casting director should have noticed that I think! :-) Seriously, with the Clinton Administration, they were kinder than with the Bush Administration's portrayal. I think they wrote Condi an overbearing know it all that was really running the country. I'm surprised they didn't have someone playing Colin Powell. Who knows how much was edited, eh?

Regardless, we know it happened. And if we don't stop tying the hands of our soldiers, making them diplomats instead of fighters, we will forget why war is war. (it's not meant to look nice, is it?) It's a sure thing those who hate us aren't caring about the PR!

Well said DV. Our fighting men are just that, FIGHTING men! The enemy hasn't a rule book they play by and they don't play fair. Untie the hands, unleash the hounds and lets get these murderers!
