They Hate Our Patriotism

The Left hates the Right because the Right loves the country as founded.  The Right loves that its country was founded upon Christian Principles and that the Country's Founders mention the Creator in their documents and letters.  The Right loves the Founders' promises of Personal Liberty... to say whatever they please and buy whatever kind of light bulb they prefer.  The Right loves this country because it was built with the bricks of personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, and family... and that its structure is held together with the mortar of honor and prayer.

The Left hates the Right because they can never change us.  So they will change the country we love.

Last Wednesday when pink smoke finally rose from the White House chimney,  we did not so much see the love of sodomy... We rather saw the hatred for the Right's traditions.   And they will chip away at our culture until God and Country never again spill forth in the same breath... Until honor becomes worship of self... Until there is nothing left to be patriotic about.

It's a good time to read Romans 1.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Grammy,
Homosexual sin turns my stomach. I'm sure Jesus would suggest that I develop the same disdain for my own sin.

True...we're in no position to feel smug. It helps me to feel less indignant about the behaviors of our culture when I realize that they may very well have been handed over by God to their rogue passions. They're happy to be complicit, so it's not that they're innocent, but it may be that God is playing a role in hardening hearts so that He can accomplish some kind of movement among his people. Some of the biggest shifts in salvation history have come about by God raising up horrible enemies or circumstances against his people - It always fascinated and disturbed me how scripture talks about him hardening pharoh's heart and raising up Nebuchadnezzar. Now I'm starting to feel comforted by it.

Obamachadnezzar?
Perilous times... A good time to examine ourselves and make sure we're in the faith... And make sure we're not filling up on worldly pollution so that there is ample room for the Holy Spirit.

If our lives are about the Bridegroom... If we are really His... We'll be fine.

The extent to which we are upset by the deterioration of this country and its culture is probably proportional to our love investment in this world.

Obamachadnezzar?

No, more like Pharobama. Nebuchadnezzar eventually recognized the Most High God. Obama's heart seems to be permanently hardened against Him.

We all remember Obama's passion for abortion, which is the civilized man's version of the Caananite gods' child sacrifice... So I don't think Obama's heart is hardened towards God, but rather that he has other gods.

My dad claims that Obama is Muslim, but I believe he is an atheist and secular humanist.
