Obama Portrays a Lack of Class

Obama could not resist campaigning at the unveiling of George Bush's official portrait. 

At the unveiling of former President George W. Bush's official portrait at the White House this afternoon, President Barack Obama joined his predecessor and their wives in delivering brief (and at times nice, cordial, and funny) remarks. But there was a seemingly out of place moment during the ceremony when Obama seemed to veer into reiterating his frequent trope that he inherited a bad economy from Bush.

"We knew our economy was in trouble, our fellow Americans were in pain, but we wouldn't know until later just how breathtaking the financial crisis had been."

These portrait unveilings are traditionally a time to put politics aside and praise the work of former presidents.  But Obama did not have sufficient class or manners to resist claiming that he inherited a mess from the Bush administration.

I was watching at work, and had to leave the room... disgusted.

It is characteristic of a narcissist that he perceives every event as a stage upon which promote himself.

Hater Spike Lee attempted to tweet the street address of George Zimmerman's parents, tweeted the wrong address, and forced an unrelated old couple into hiding... The Haters in the New Black Panther Party offered a 10,000 dollar reward for the vigilante-capture of Zimmerman.  "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth," they said... Haters at MSNBC selectively-edited the Zimmerman 911 call to make him sound like a racist... In an unprecedented overreach into a local crime investigation,  Hater, and Attorney General, Eric Holder said that the Justice Department will take appropriate action in the killing of Trayvon Martin if it finds evidence that a federal criminal civil rights crime has been committed...  Today a hate-filled political philosophy and the hate-filled Hip-Hop Culture will continue transforming young black boys into angry thugs.

These Hate Crimes will go unpunished.

Hardball's' Chris Matthews Loses Big on Jeopardy

We'll take "People Who Aren't as Smart as They Think They Are" for $800, Alex. "Hardball" host Chris Matthews made a less-than-impressive showing on "Jeopardy!" last night, a bomb-fest that was extra hilarious considering the many, many times he's said Sarah Palin would struggle on the show. Matthews looked confused and outmatched on the "Power Players" episode, which also featured former White House press secretary (and eventual winner) Robert Gibbs and CNN reporter Lizzie O'Leary. He shouted out answers when it wasn't his turn and flunked basic arithmetic -- saying Istanbul fit the category of "6-Letter Capitals." Matthews came in third. There was no fourth.

They Hate Our Patriotism

The Left hates the Right because the Right loves the country as founded.  The Right loves that its country was founded upon Christian Principles and that the Country's Founders mention the Creator in their documents and letters.  The Right loves the Founders' promises of Personal Liberty... to say whatever they please and buy whatever kind of light bulb they prefer.  The Right loves this country because it was built with the bricks of personal responsibility, entrepreneurship, and family... and that its structure is held together with the mortar of honor and prayer.

The Left hates the Right because they can never change us.  So they will change the country we love.

Last Wednesday when pink smoke finally rose from the White House chimney,  we did not so much see the love of sodomy... We rather saw the hatred for the Right's traditions.   And they will chip away at our culture until God and Country never again spill forth in the same breath... Until honor becomes worship of self... Until there is nothing left to be patriotic about.

So the leader of the Democrat Party proclaims God's Holy Matrimony should be the right of the sodomites.  I believe Obama has risen to the stature of Caligula... This along with his stance on abortion distinguishes him as being on par with the Canaanites upon whom God unleashed His wrath.  What a proud day to be a Democrat.

But wait!  I sit in Church with people who love to watch the immorality of Will and Grace, Seinfeld, and Gray's Anatomy... What a proud day for the American Church!  It's all the same stuff... The same decay.

Living Angry

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen liberal commentators look back with nostalgia to the days when a young man fresh out of high school or military service could get a well-paying job on an assembly line at a unionized auto factory that could carry him through to a comfortable retirement.

As it happens, I grew up in Detroit and for a time lived next door to factory workers. And I know something that has eluded the liberal nostalgics. Which is that people hated those jobs.

It's a good article, but Barone left something out.  The jobs were boring and repetitive, but you have to figure in the fact that there was an ever-present union whispering into the workers' ears, telling them that they were being used and taken advantage of by the owners of the factory. 

The insidious spirit of envy, the union spirit, is being whispered daily into the ears of the American working class, and it is coming from the White House and the desks of liberal senators and congressmen.  Workers are told that if corporations and the rich would just cooperate and not be so greedy, then every worker in America could have a good job with great pay. 

The auto worker's union stuck it to management by making it next to impossible to fire an employee that was unproductive, and by striking to garner benefits that were not sustainable.

The government sticks it to businesses and the rich men that run them by levying taxes and burdensome regulations.

...And the American economy is looking more like Detroit every day.

He was 80.

I liked Chuck Colson.  I enjoyed his daily "Breakpoint" podcast, and I enjoyed hearing him speak several times on Christian Radio.  Billy Graham said it best... There will be many people in Heaven due to the Holy Spirit's work through Chuck Colson.  There is no more significant epitaph than that.

As the Golden Goose Lies Dying

Poor, uneducated voters and the Liberals who pander to them don't care about this country's history, traditions, and its freedoms.  They don't care about this country's opportunities to get ahead... Liberals believe the opportunities are only for the rich, and the ignorant poor have no intention of putting forth the effort to achieve.

Both seem perfectly content to ride the American economy into a socialist grave. 

I'm not an economist.  But I do know the price of gold is steadily rising.  I know our government will continue to print money to pay social security and medicare obligations.  How will this incredible mounting debt be paid for?

INFLATION.

 Our debt will be paid for with worthless dollars. Fifteen trillion dollars of debt seems less daunting when a loaf of bread costs twenty dollars and a plumber charges five hundred dollars an hour to replace a faucet. 

I believe we are headed towards an inflationary period the likes of which the world has only seen in places like Zimbabwe.  The poor will receive many more dollars from the government than they can currently imagine...  with which they will be able to buy very little.

So has America wised up for this fall's election?   

In the 2008 election between McCain and Obama, John McCain out polled Obama among whites by 55 percent to 43 percent, but Obama won decisively anyway by carrying 80 percent of minorities, including 95 percent of African-Americans and two-thirds of Hispanics. According to Gallup, those numbers remain pretty much the same for the upcoming race between Romney and Obama.

Obama-Care, Freeloaders, and Grandma

I don't like Obama-Care.   I also don't like otherwise prosperous -uninsured people- who come into my hospital needing emergency surgery and expensive care... And we have to treat them... and then we eat the bill.

I would hate the Obama mandate more, if when one of these health care freeloaders gambled and lost, the hospital would own that person until every penny of his bill was paid.

But that's not how it works. 

Obama-Care would be worse, because the government would likely ration its payments to hospitals... (It now pays pennies on the dollar for medicare and medicaid services)...   Hospitals are already cutting back on personnel... Obama-Care would make it much worse.

I'm rambling. 

But on this issue, conservatives are hypocrites.  Obama-Care is a bad idea, but it's not as if conservatives have great ideas on how to pay for exploding health care costs, or how to break it to grandma that there isn't enough money for her open-heart surgery.

Yes, this is America and you think Grandma has a right to have that surgery.  But here's the thing:  The money isn't there.  Doctors and hospital employees aren't going to work for peanuts... anymore than you would.

Sorry Grandma, we're broke.
