It's time for Richard Lugar's retirement party.  Tea Partiers will be joined by Primary-Crossing-Over Democrats to nominate Mourdock.  I've already contacted Mourdock's campaign about a sign for my yard.

For I Am Not Ashamed... of Satan

Recently The Drudge Report, who I would guess are Romney supporters, linked to a video of Rick Santorum speaking to a group of Catholic students in which he said that Satan had his sights set on America.

Now while I agreed with what Santorum said, I must confess that I cringed when I heard him say it... Because I could imagine the negative reaction of many voters to a candidate who actually believed that Satan exists.

And then I immediately felt guilty.  You see, Jesus talked about Satan, so to be ashamed to believe in Satan is tantamount to being ashamed of believing that Jesus is the Son of God.

So yes, I am not ashamed of the fact that I believe there is a fallen angel named Satan.

And I figure that Satan will have plenty of time with those who don't believe in him... and will eventually persuade them to change their minds.

Rare Childhood Photos

Obviously I was not meant to be in this photo, but inadvertently wandered in front of the camera.  As I recall I was beaten mercilessly for ruining a photo of the favored children, my brother and sister.

The dull look on my face is surely due to malnutrition... And as is plainly seen, I had no toys such as those which adorn my siblings.

Always deeply reverent, my constant prayer was for God to send someone who would love me...  Still unanswered to this day.

This is me attempting to call Child Protective Services.  A severe beating followed.

This is my brother and sister instructing me on how I was to stand during my beating.

This is all I remember of my childhood... Guess  I've repressed everything else.

Abortion By Any Other Name

This weekend, Catholic bishops informed parishioners of the recent White House edict forcing religious hospitals, schools, charities, and other health and social-service providers to provide “free” abortifacient pills, sterilizations, and contraception on demand in their insurance plans — even if it violates their moral consciences and the teachings of their churches.

As always, tolerance is a one-way street in the Age of Obama. “Choice” is in the eye (and iron fist) of the First Amendment usurper.

It's important to understand that this isn't about contraception.  Abortifacient pills induce abortion, so this law demands that religious organizations, such as hospitals and schools, provide insurance that pays for drugs that abort the unborn.  Oh and guess what... Government insurance that the taxpayer funds will do the same thing.  So much for all the promises to the contrary.

I'm not sure how the American Catholics will respond to this outrage.  But I am supremely confident that the Evangelicals will shrug their shoulders and get about the business of planning their next purchase, meal out, or vacation.

Quote of the Week

A caller reminded Rush Limbaugh of the Romney-Kennedy debate for the U.S. Senate, in which it took Romney 45 minutes to disagree with  Teddy about anything.  Limbaugh responded:

"I have to remind you that Gingrich debated John Kerry on Global Warming and they agreed on practically every point... ... ... Nobody is innocent... Everybody is guilty of some transgression somewhere against conservatism... ... ... except Santorum."
